Republican Party of Texas Resolution Supporting President Trump
WHEREAS, President Donald Trump was elected in November of 2016; and
WHEREAS, since then almost four million jobs have been created in the US economy; and
WHEREAS, economic growth has continued throughout the Trump administration; and
WHEREAS, new unemployment claims recently hit a 49-year low; and
WHEREAS, median household income has hit the highest level ever recorded; and
WHEREAS, African-American unemployment has recently achieved the lowest rate ever recorded; and
WHEREAS, Hispanic-American unemployment is at the lowest rate ever recorded; and
WHEREAS, Asian-American unemployment recently achieved the lowest rate ever recorded; and
WHEREAS, women’s unemployment recently reached the lowest rate in 65 years; and
WHEREAS, youth unemployment has recently hit the lowest rate in nearly half a century; and
WHEREAS, the lowest unemployment rate ever recorded for Americans without a high school diploma was achieved; and
WHEREAS, over 3.5 million Americans have been lifted off food stamps since the 2016 election; and
WHEREAS, President Trump signed the biggest package of tax cuts and reforms in U.S. history, resulting in over $300 billion pouring back into the U.S. economy in the first quarter of 2018 alone; and
WHEREAS, the Administration opened the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR) to drilling and approved the Keystone XL and Dakota Access Pipelines; and
WHEREAS, a record number of federal regulations have been abolished entirely; and
WHEREAS, the United States withdrew from the job-killing Paris Climate Accord; and
WHEREAS, the Administration cancelled the illegal, anti-energy, so-called Clean Power Plan; and
WHEREAS, Supreme Court Justices Neil Gorsuch and Judge Brett Kavanaugh have been confirmed, along with more circuit court judges than by any other new administration; and
WHEREAS, President Trump passed massive Criminal Justice Reform with the First Step Act; and
WHEREAS, the United States withdrew from the horrible, one-sided Iran Deal; and
WHEREAS, the United States reached a breakthrough agreement with the E.U. to increase U.S. exports; and
WHEREAS, the United States imposed tariffs on foreign steel and aluminum to protect our national security and American jobs; and
WHEREAS, the United States imposed tariffs on China in response to China’s forced technology transfer, intellectual property theft, and their chronically abusive trade practices; and
WHEREAS, better trade deals have been negotiated with many countries, most recently China; and
WHEREAS, the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) has been negotiated to replace the flawed North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) and is awaiting approval in Congress; and
WHEREAS, the United States dollar is the strongest currency in the world; and
WHEREAS, the American stock markets continue to reach record levels; and
WHEREAS, the United States has begun building a border wall; and
WHEREAS, these accomplishments have been done in spite of sheer obstruction and even false and unproven charges being levied against our President during so-called impeachment proceedings by the progressive liberals of the Democrat party, and
WHEREAS, the White House celebrates Christmas openly and with stunning decorations; and
WHEREAS, the United States finally moved our U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem; and
WHEREAS, America is Great Again, now
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Republican Party of Texas is proud of President Donald J. Trump and First Lady Melania Trump; and
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Republican Party of Texas thanks President Trump for his long list of significant achievements while in office; and
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Republican Party of Texas condemns the actions of the progressive liberals in Congress to overturn President Trump’s election through bogus impeachment proceedings; and
BE IT RESOLVED, that the State Republican Executive Committee Members of the Republican Party of Texas fully support President Trump; and
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED, that a copy of this resolution be sent to all legislative elected officials in Texas and posted on the Republican Party of Texas website, and that an archival quality copy be sent to President Trump and to all State Republican Parties and the Republican National Committee.
